About Us
The Trading Post Resort is located approximately 55 miles west of Fort
Collins, Colorado, on Highway 14, in scenic Poudre Canyon. Although the canyon does
not have any large chain hotels or condo units, it does provide the type resort that is
geared to personal attention. |

We are located within six miles of various lakes, all excellent fishing
spots. There are also many high-altitude lakes to visit for the scenery and the
fishing. Three well-maintained hiking trails, plus numerous other trails, are within
a few miles of the resort. There are approximately seventy miles of Poudre River to
choose your favorite fishing hole, to hike, or to just relax and enjoy the scenery. |
|
The wildlife in the Poudre is as varied as the scenery and the wildflowers.
Deer, elk, big horn sheep, foxes, and an occasional mountain lion can be spotted in the
canyon. Moose are now being seen in the upper area of the canyon and on the other
side of Cameron Pass (about 25 minutes for the resort). Golden eagles, hummingbirds,
hawks, and Stellar Jays are just a few of the many birds to be found in the canyon. |

|
We provide clean cabins, a quiet, family atmosphere and
various outdoor facilities for picnics and games. If you are looking for that
perfect mountain vacation, give us a call and we will be glad to give you additional
information on how you can visit Colorado's Best Kept Secret! |
